The new book of Z33 has arrived. 'Logbook Z33' is a log, "an instrument to look back on the year 2011 in Z33". The story is told by Kristof Vrancken in pictures in the first part and by Régine Débatty in text in the second part. It is published by MER. Paper Kunsthalle. Check out pictures of the book over there, until I find the time to post them here.

Together with Stijn Segers I am selected for the Manifesta 9 Parallel Events. In the summer we're going to construct the 'Monument for the Unknown Trucker' in Waterschei, Genk (BE) accompanied by the 'Centrum voor Heimwee'. More info soon!

I'm presenting my new project "Activist" at the 'Toegepast 16: Les Nouveaux' exhibition. It will run from 30-10-2011 'till 5-2-2012 at Z33 in Hasselt (BE). More info here and the pictures will be online soon. All info and pictures online!

The development of new work for 'Toegepast 16' is coming along nicely. I'm continuing research into the domain of activism after I touched base with this subject in my “Manifest voor Winterslag Cité”. In the meanwhile I also designed the folder for the 'call for entries' for 'Toegepast 17'.

I did an interview with the Provincial Integration Centre Limburg on my project in Winterslag Cité. It is published in their yearbook of 2010 under the theme of " Social Cohesion through art". You can read the full interview here. (pdf, dutch)

The design contest "Toegepast" announced it's laureates and I am part of the lucky five. The other selected designers are Jihyun Ryou (Product Design), Lore Langendries (Jewelry Design), Dik Scheepers (Product Design) and Shana Teugels (Jewelry Design). "Toegepast" is organised every year (16th edition in 2011) by Design Platform Limburg and Z33 to put a spotlight on young, promising designers. The winners get the opportunity to develop new work, in collaboration with other designers and specialists, over a period of 10 months ending with a group exhibition.
